Lil History
Banks Creek Barn is owned by the Banks Family. Roger, Tense, Aaron, Parker, Emma, Nick Banks and JoBeth Banks; native to Linville Falls. Aaron named the Store after his father's family who originally settled in Burnsville NC at a place called Banks Creek. Roger married Tense Franklin. The Franklin family are native to Linville Falls NC & are a large part of its history and heritage.
The "Barn" was originally built by Roger D. Banks and was used primarily for equipment that was needed to develop the original "Banks of the North Fork" Laurel and Trout Farms.
Aaron Banks moved his family back to Linville Falls and began (along with his sons and cousin) construction on the Barn and the grounds.
